The Genesis of a Divine Journey

In the tapestry of time, the story of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) began in the heart of Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya (DKO). Fresh from completing his Ph.D. in the United Kingdom and working at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, DKO embarked on a monumental journey in 1989. It was on a Wednesday when he gathered 24 brethren in his living room for a prayer meeting.

What started as a humble assembly soon evolved into a divine calling. God’s grace permeated these gatherings, leading to miraculous transformations in the lives of attendees. The word spread rapidly, drawing individuals from distant places who sought a profound connection with the divine.

A Journey of Growth and Relocation

As the numbers grew, the need for a larger space became apparent. The prayer meetings relocated to 60 Old Yaba Road, Yaba, Lagos. Even there, the congregation continued to expand at an astonishing rate, necessitating yet another move.

The prayer group secured a piece of land at 13 Olasimbo Street, Onike, Yaba, originally an abandoned slum near the University of Lagos. Through unwavering faith and dedication, this once-neglected place transformed into the International Headquarters of MFM, with Dr. Olukoya as the General Overseer. The name “Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries” was divinely revealed during prayer, and the inaugural service took place on April 24, 1994.

Managing Growth: A Divine Strategy

Even at the new location, the congregation continued to swell as more believers and seekers flocked to experience the divine presence. Managing the rapid growth prompted the leadership to devise a strategic plan. Under divine guidance, MFM developed a network of branches, extending to every state capital, local government headquarters, senatorial district, and locality. This strategic approach contributed to MFM’s status as one of the fastest-growing churches of this generation.

A Global Impact

MFM’s impact transcends borders. International branches emerged in London and spread to the United States, Canada, Europe, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. Today, MFM stands as a beacon of faith and transformation on every continent, leaving a lasting impact.

Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya serves as the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries and The Battle Cry Christian Ministries. His leadership is dedicated to the revival of Apostolic signs, Holy Ghost fireworks, and the unlimited demonstration of the power of God to deliver to the uttermost.
